This generous ground floor terrace had an incredible borrowed landscape and our brief was to make the most of that. The majority of the terrace was taken up by built-in garden beds and didn’t allow for any storage.
Our design opens up the space and incorporates carefully positioned, custom built storage which subtly divides the area into an entertaining area and an open recreation area. The inclusion of a large potted lemon tree will, in time, add scale and shade to the terrace. Climbing plants on the northern boundary wall soften the area.
The large format pavers extend the look of the space and the selection of finishes reflects those inside the home so as to create a seamless transition from inside to out.
This design opens up the space for entertaining and relaxing and incorporates functionality which is essential for apartment living with a family.
